Two days ago, a suspicious account popped up on Instagram, talking about a new era for your favorite boy band. @tha5sosfamilyig is a new “5SOS Updates” account, created for the sole purpose of creating chaos.
If you’re familiar with 5sos you will recognize the irony of them calling themselves a boy band, as this has always been a running gag between the fandom and the band. They’re not a boy band, they’re punk rock – at least that’s what people would have told you back in 2014. Does that mean they’re going back to their roots, bringing back the sounds from ‘Sounds Good Feels Good’ or the self titled album? Or can we expect something entirely different? Either way, it’s exciting.
“5SOS are breaking up?? Click here for proof” one of the clickbaity posts on the band’s official account states. ‘NOT OK’ is their new song, which can he pre-saved here. On the website you can also find a countdown to the release, introducing a whole new era for 5SOS, with 100% more ego.
